Portrait of Oscar Wilde
I am obsessed with Victoriana, so it was inevitable that Oscar Wilde would turn up here eventually. Wilde was unable to pose, so I took my inspiration from a photo by Napoleon Sarony, now in the public domain (the photo, not Sarony).
Oscar is green because it lends him a look of decay. I think he would have liked that.
To fully appreciate the picture, sip an absinthe while inhaling the delicate fragrance of a pure white lily.
