Vincent Price as Oscar Wilde in Diversions and Delights, a play written by John Gay based on the life and works of Wilde (click image for source). Price gave 800 performances onstage in 300 cities as Oscar Wilde, touring all over the world. As far as I know, the enactment was sadly never committed to film. However, live audio recordings were made and can be listened to here: Act I | Act II I’ve just finished listening to Act I, and Vincent Price is in his element as Oscar Wilde; that he truly relished the opportunity of articulating the wit and brilliance of the Irish poet and playwright is evident in the joy and gusto of his performance.
